Mathew Schoefield – Painting

Matthew Schofield is using the skills he learned in OCAD U’s Drawing & Painting program in the digital world of TV and film VFX, entering the industry thanks to lifelong friends made during his time at OCAD U. Matthew has contributed to films such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), Ad Astra (2019), and Crimson Peak (2015). Alongside his VFX work, he continues to paint and has exhibited his artwork globally, from Paris to New York and beyond. We spent the day with Matthew exploring the two spaces he works from: the Rocket Science VFX offices and his painting studio.
