Partnering with OCAD U researchers
OCAD University faculty are engaged in inclusive, interdisciplinary research that pursues the questions of our time. Our faculty perform research in fields like systems design, industrial design, new media, data visualization, mobile technology, design for health, visual culture, and more. Potential partners wishing to work with a specific researcher or research group can contact them directly. Types of partnerships
OCAD University supports partnerships with research universities and institutions, the private sector, government, non-governmental organizations, foundations, community groups, and others.
To support this diverse range of partnership opportunities, the OCAD U Office of Research and Innovation employs a professional client-services approach to sharing University resources. Our partnership platform ensures positive, consistent partnership experiences for all potential and current partners.

Establishing industry partnerships
The Office of Research & Innovation assists OCAD U faculty members in building successful industry partnerships. Faculty are encouraged to leverage their professional network to identify potential partnership opportunities related to their area of research. When a partnership opportunity has been identified, we can offer assistance in determining project budgets, intellectual property rights, drafting and finalizing partnership agreements, and sourcing external funding from federal or provincial sources.
