Follow these important steps to make your transition to OCAD U easier
Sign up as a mentee in our Student Mentor Program. Peer mentors are available to answer your questions before you arrive and support you throughout your first year. Apply online on the Peer Mentor Program page.
Plan to arrive before classes begin to attend Fall Orientation, which includes information sessions (some specifically for international and exchange students), campus tours, city outings and social gatherings for all new students.

Visit the Academic Advising page to find information about course registration and how to create your schedule. Instructional guides and videos are also available on the Registration Videos and myOCAD U Guides page. Academic advisors can provide advice and support, advise you on course selection and planning, discuss your program requirements with you and much more!
If you are struggling with university-level writing, reading comprehension, note taking, idea organization and English grammar and style, take advantage of the individualized and group tutoring and support available at the Writing & Learning Centre (WLC), 113 McCaul Street, 5th floor, MCC 510.
Student Accessibility services supports students with temporary and permanent disabilities. Register with Student Accessibility as early as possible to ensure that academic supports can be arranged before classes begin.
The Dorothy H. Hoover Library is open approximately 72 hours per week during the fall/winter semesters and provides a variety of study areas, more than 10,000 full-text journals as well as materials database, a multi-media archive, and image databases.
