Student Accessibility Services hosts programs and events throughout the academic year. Our events are aimed at encouraging the OCAD U community to build a dialogue about accessibility, and connecting students and faculty to on-campus and off-campus supports and resources.

StART Summer Transition Program

The Transition Program is a free comprehensive orientation program offered every August for incoming OCAD U students with disabilities. This program helps students build skills and knowledge, while also meeting others with similar experiences in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Join your peers to learn new skills, meet new people, and access support in the transition to University. Topics include information on University supports and services, learning strategies (test taking, notetaking, critique skills and time management), self-advocacy skills, stress management and positive mental health strategies.

Please note: All participants are required to complete registration with Student Accessibility Services before attending the program.

The 2025 StART Summer Transition Program will run Monday, August 18 to Thursday, August 21, 2025. Email sas@ocadu.ca to register.
