Coffee Chats is a series of virtual casual gatherings with the CEAD team with industry guests. Hosted virtually in small intimate groups, these gatherings will provide a space for group conversations with practitioners who are interested in supporting OCAD U students and grads to offer mentorship, and share their professional insights and journey, while collectively creating an online community.
David started his career in London, UK, trying his hand at everything from designing toys and consumer electricals to co-founding a creative co-operative producing and designing installations and exhibitions across the world. He then met his Canadian wife on a plane and decided to start anew 3 years ago in Toronto where he now works as a Senior UX Architect at Klick Health.
David is open to talking about:
- Finding a career and community as a newcomer to Canada
- Being open to exploring different creative avenues
- UX and designing in context
