Coffee Chats with Alex Boland
Alex Boland is a multidisciplinary designer with a focus on branding, visual identity, and cultural impact through creativity. Currently a Design Director at Sid Lee Toronto, he has developed some of their highest profile and most awarded projects in his 7+ year history with the agency, including We The North, Black Lives Matter, and the Canadian Olympic Committee.


Coffee Chats is a series of virtual casual gatherings with the CEAD team with industry guests. Hosted virtually in small intimate groups, these gatherings will provide a space for group conversations with practitioners who are interested in supporting OCAD U students and grads to offer mentorship, and share their professional insights and journey, while collectively creating an online community.

Alex Boland is a multidisciplinary designer with a focus on branding, visual identity, and cultural impact through creativity. Currently a Design Director at Sid Lee Toronto, he has developed some of their highest profile and most awarded projects in his 7+ year history with the agency, including We The North, Black Lives Matter, and the Canadian Olympic Committee. Before joining Sid Lee, he cut his teeth at Champions Design in New York City, helping create work for the WNBA, The High Line, and The Museum for African Art. He is a two-time winner of the Canadian Young Lions Competition, and his work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, One Show, and the ADCC, among others.
