Introducing a name that likely needs no introduction: Michael Martchenko, a true icon in children's book illustration!
Michael has been the artistic force behind most of Robert Munsch's beloved books, starting with The Paperbag Princess in 1980. After graduating from what was then called the Advertising Art program (now Illustration) in 1966, he began his career as an Art Director in advertising. It wasn’t long before Robert Munsch approached him in the late '70s, sparking their iconic collaboration.
Watch Michael reflect on his time at OCA in the '60s and the journey that shaped his remarkable career.
