The OCAD U Pollinator Garden cultivates biodiversity and pollinator habitat to support native insect and plant species. With at least 30 different native plant species blooming from Spring to Autumn and dozens of native bee species, the Pollinator Garden is abuzz with curriculum connections, student artwork, and research.
Current and previous connections:
- Research collaboration with York University’s Rehan Lab (Department of Biology), which identified visits by 44 unique bee species during Summer 2023
- Kitchen Sink Photography with Ursula Handleigh (Faculty of Art)
- Collaborating with the Land: Amaranth Dye Demo with Julia Rose Sutherland (Faculty of Design)
- SITE-SPECIFIC — In conversation with Ryan Whyte (Faculty of Arts & Science), winner of the inaugural Pollinator Photo Competition
