Unfinished and Impermanent is a workshop designed to reflect upon notions of impermanence and purposeful incompleteness as catalysts for creativity and imagination. The workshop is composed of a lecture, film screenings and tool kit development.
International artist, educator, filmmaker and cultural facilitator Justin Randolph Thompson shares his socially engaged practice through experimental documentary film and legacy maintenance strategies as an approach to dreaming beyond ones means and beyond the confines of projectuality. Encouraging participants to chart deep and extensive paths that connect their own practice to that of others, this workshop engages filmmaking as a tool for social change in service of a living archive.
