Sacred Shapeshifter examines desire as a means to envision an alternative world rooted in decolonial love. This exhibition disrupts conventional understandings of tradition, challenges rigid gender binaries, and fosters intergenerational healing to raise a new consciousness. Through autoethnographic storytelling, stitching, beadwork, and sculpture come together to explore the ambiguity of Two-Spirit identity and engage in world-building. Rather than focusing solely on damage, these works highlight the power of possibility, resilience, and kinship across time and space, carrying ancestral knowledge forward as a gesture of futurity.
