Lichens, with their understated charm, are symbiotic organisms known for their slow growth and virtual immortality. The Lichen Clock engages with the quiet, harmonious rhythm of lichen growth as a counterpoint to capitalist time, inviting audiences to experience ‘lichen time’ - a temporality rooted in patience and uncertainty. The project bridges ecological, anthropological, and artistic perspectives through the exploration of everyday touch surfaces and the intricate textures of lichen.

As a multimedia jewelry designer, I experiment with digital graphics, photogrammetry, and hybrid fabrication to merge the edges of traditional craftsmanship and virtual expression, disrupting conventional ideas of design products. Familiar surfaces of everyday objects are transformed, and new dialogues emerge between industrial production and organic form. The exhibition engages touch, sight, and sound to reflect on feelings of obsolescence in the face of technological acceleration and to prompt alternative awareness of time, sensation, and materiality.
