Ignite Gallery Installation Award 2025
Call for Submissions
Ignite Gallery showcases the creative voices of OCAD University students and recent graduates through curated exhibitions. The gallery serves as a platform for emerging talent, reflecting the diverse practices of the OCAD U community.
The Ignite Gallery Installation Award is open to GradEx-eligible students who are presenting spatially ambitious installation-based projects for GradEx 110. Up to four 4th-year OCAD U students will be awarded a summer-long exhibition, running from May 1 to August 16, 2025, at Ignite Gallery. This exhibition will coincide with GradEx and be showcased in OCAD University's Ignite Gallery.
The award includes:
- A dedicated summer-long exhibition
- Mentorship and curation by Morgan Mavis and Tibi Neuspiel
- Social media promotion
- Professional photographic documentation of the exhibition
- A prime location within Ignite Gallery during GradEx 2025
This award offers a significant opportunity for students to gain professional exposure and support for their emerging creative practices.
All applications are reviewed by the Gallery’s Selection Committee
Install dates: April 21 to 30, 2025
Opening: May 7, 2025, coinciding with the first opening day of GradEx.

- A selection of images (maximum 10 images per application or 5 minutes of time-based media, not exceeding 30 MB). Include links in the PDF for time-based media.
- If applicable : An image list, with dimensions and materials.
Label all image files with a number and your name. Ensure that the numbers for the first nine images begin with a zero (for example: 01GarfieldArbuckle.jpg, 02GarfieldArbuckle.jpg …10GarfieldArbuckle.jpg). This will ensure that they are presented in the correct order.
