Hope in the Shadows, graduating IAMD exhibition by Nasim Salehi April 1-9, 2024, ‏Experimental Media Space (EMS)  ‏205 Richmond St W, I st Floor, OCAD U, 11am - 6pm, opening reception Friday, April 5, 5-7

"Within the sanctum of my exhibition, I navigate the intricate tales of existence, a realm where shadows dance with light. Driven by hope, I aim to illuminate the hidden pains of human existence, offering solace to those feeling alone. This showcase delves into the lives of individuals battling severe diseases, highlighting the physical and emotional turmoil they endure within a flawed healthcare system. By employing the metaphor of cages, my work critiques the limitations imposed on patients, urging a reflection on the need for empathy, support, and systemic reform. Through my work, I aspire to deepen understanding of chronic conditions and advocate for substantial improvements." @nasimm_salehi
