Global Design and Artchives - Opening Reception September 18 - Ada Slaight Gallery
The International Programs & Collaborations Office (IPCO) proudly presents the second annual Global Design and Artchives Exhibition, celebrating the successful launch of OCAD University’s inaugural COIL+ programming. This exhibition not only marks a significant milestone for IPCO, within the Office of the Vice-Provost, Students & International, but also highlights the strategic leadership, vision, and commitment to fostering global connections in art and design education.
Featuring the work of students who participated in international collaborative courses, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of methodologies in art and design developed in vibrant locations such as Nepal, Thailand, the Philippines, and Estonia. Through these immersive experiences, students explored the historical and contemporary contexts of these sites, engaging deeply with the ways cultural heritage is expressed, revitalized, and expanded in contemporary practice.
This exhibition is a dynamic reflection of their creative journeys, blending cultural insights and artistic growth gained abroad into a vibrant tapestry of student work.
We invite you to celebrate the intersection of culture, creativity, and international collaboration that defines OCAD University's innovative approach to global art and design education.
