Dr. Shuchi Karim
As an alum of the Scholar’s at Risk placement program, Dr. Karim will explore the significance of her experience and research in supporting displaced artists and scholars.
With over 20 years of experience in interdisciplinary teaching and research for policy development in gender, development, sexual and reproductive health and rights, education, women and youth, displacement and diaspora in South Asia, Dr. Karim is the Project Director of Placement, Preservation and Perseverance: Afghan At-Risk Scholars, Activists, and Students, and is Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University.
