Design Career Fair: Speaker Series

On January 22, 2025, attend the DCF Speaker Series to hear from industry partners as they profile their companies and deliver presentations on specific topics of interest in the design field. Please look at the event schedule and description below:

Application Advice Panel – 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM | Click HERE to RSVP

This panel discussion will allow you to obtain insight from employers in design industries, where they will cover various employment-related topics such as cover letters, resumes, and portfolio building. At the end of the panel discussion, a Q&A session will occur where you can ask these employers questions about your application package.

Getting Hired – 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM | Click HERE to RSVP

In conjunction with the Design Career Fair, OCAD U students and recent alumni are invited to participate in a special, comprehensive workshop called “Getting Hired” that will be led by Ritesh Gupta and focus on: 

  1. Effectively building and updating your portfolio
  2. Strategies for reaching out / applying
  3. Marketing yourself
  4. Finding employers that are great matches
  5. Interviewing
