Corners of the Body: Tia Babbar, Jes Bonnie, Sari Cheah and Jodi Tu
An exhibition with artists Tia Babbar, Jes Bonnie, Sari Cheah, Jodi Tu

Our exhibition, Corners of the Body, gravitates between the symbolic and the substantive. It explores the gendered construction and deconstruction of the female form and its representation. Women are commonly seen as a sum of parts rather than a whole. Corners of the Body seeks to locate the individual segments and reconstruct the female form. This multimedia collection that spans paintings, sculptures, and garments explores artistic approaches that range from abstraction to performance. It will offer alternative perspectives on the misconceptions and distorted notions of the female body, femininity, and individual power.
