Coffee Chats is a series of casual gatherings with the CEAD team with industry guests. Hosted in small intimate groups, these gatherings will provide a space for group conversations with practitioners who are interested in supporting OCAD U students and grads to offer mentorship, and share their professional insights and journey, while collectively creating a community.

Morghan Fortier Morghan Fortier is the Co-Owner and CEO of Skyship Entertainment™, a digital-first production studio focused on original series and song content for preschoolers and school-aged audiences. With two decades of experience in the animation industry, Morghan has produced numerous television series for clients such as Playhouse Disney, The Comedy Network, Teletoon, CBC, BBC, ABC, PBS, Comedy Central, as well as a variety of commercials and broadcast design projects.

General themes for the talk:
 

  • The journey of Skyship Entertainment & Super Simple Songs
  • Building a creative career & entrepreneurial mindset in the Canadian Entertainment Industry (AKA self funding and self distributing your own IP)
  • Expanding beyond YouTube

Coffee Chats is a series of casual gatherings with the CEAD team with industry guests. Hosted in small intimate groups, these gatherings will provide a space for group conversations with practitioners who are interested in supporting OCAD U students and grads to offer mentorship, and share their professional insights and journey, while collectively creating a community.
