Coffee Chats is a series of casual gatherings with the CEAD team with industry guests. Hosted in small intimate groups, these gatherings will provide a space for group conversations with practitioners who are interested in supporting OCAD U students and grads to offer mentorship, and share their professional insights and journey, while collectively creating a community.

Emma Enright is a textile artist and designer from Hamilton, Ontario. Her series of work investigates the materiality of textiles with a specific emphasis on weaving. Embodying traditional weaving techniques she creates contemporary handwoven artwork for interior spaces. Her textile studio is located in Hamilton at The Cotton Factory. Emma has received her Bachelor of Design, with a major in textiles from Ontario College of Art and Design University. She continues to exhibit her work and teach textile workshops.

• The process of transitioning from school towards a professional practice as a textile artist.

• Finding / building a community outside of graduating.
