Call for participants: Awenda Field Trip

Each fall, students from OCAD U make this trip to Awenda Provincial Park to draw, take photographs, paint and relax in the beautiful atmosphere of the park.
The resulting artworks will be shown on campus in Winter 2025.
Field Trip on Saturday, September 21
The trip is FREE and the space is limited
- First come first serve bases
- Deadline for RSVP: Sep 18, noon, EST

7:15 AM - Departs from OCAD (late arrival will not be accommodated)
9:30 AM - Arrive at Awenda
12:30 PM -BBQ Lunch
4:00 PM - Students display and share
5:00 PM - Depart from Awenda
7:30 PM - Return to OCAD
Bring your art supplies to document and engage with the park landscape, located on the northern tip of the Peninsula on Georgian Bay.
- Students with their own vehicles are welcome to join us at the park as well!
- If you have food restrictions it's advised to bring a pack lunch as the BBQ might not meet all dietary needs
- This is a non-credit co-curriculum field trip. All level of OCAD students welcome
Art generated from this experience will result in an exhibition in early 2025.
Please be advised that OCAD U hosted events may be documented through photographs and video. These images may be used by the University for promotional, advertising, and educational purposes. By participating in our events, both on campus and off-site, you consent to allowing OCAD University to document and use your image and likeness.
