Kelly Ross leads a workshop for OCAD U Students and Alumni on how to do your taxes as an artist or designer. Topics covered include the difference between employee versus self-employed income, HST, business expense deductibles, and more. Feel free to submit questions you may have about the 2024 tax year in advance of the session.
The event will cover:
-What’s new for 2024 tax year
-Important deadlines
-Taxes for international students
-Employee versus self-employed income
-HST
-Deductibles for business expenses & keeping receipts
-RRSPs vs TFSAS
-CRA Audits/Reviews
-Any other tax-related questions you bring!
Light refreshments will be served as part of the event.
