Faculty of Arts & Science
Simone Jones is a multidisciplinary artist who works with moving images, sculpture and electronics. A key component of these investigations is the theatrical and performative nature of the work itself.
Jones has exhibited her work at national and international venues including the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa, 2015), the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto, 2014) and Ronald Feldman Fine Arts (New York, 2011). Jones’ work has been included in La Biennale de Montréal (2014) and the Venice Biennale/Aperto (1993).
Jones has sustained a collaborative practice with Lance Winn since 2004 with exhibitions at The IceBox (Philadelphia, 2012), The Walter Phillips Gallery (Banff, 2007) and Scotia Bank Nuit Blanche (Toronto, 2011).
Jones is currently the Graduate Program Director of the Digital Futures Program at OCAD University in Toronto.
