Natalie Waldburger

Natalie attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, the Ontario College of Art and Design, and NSCAD University, studying Women’s Studies, Drawing and Painting, and Media Arts respectively. Having recently stepped down as the Ada Slaight Chair of Contemporary Painting and Print Media at OCAD University, she is currently cross-appointed there in Drawing and Painting and Cross-disciplinary Studies. Natalie has been part of the team developing the Life Studies specialization, a new area of study in the Faculty of Art designed to expand the study of the body and bodies as related to ideas of embodiment, issues of representation, the environment, ecosystems, and the interplay between science, technology and studio inquiries. She has also taught at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the Media Arts Department where she completed her MFA.
