Kourosh Mahvash (He, Him, His) | MRAIC, M.Arch, M.St. (Cantab) | LEED AP

With over twenty years of experience in both academia and practice, I am currently serving as the chair of the RAIC Promoting Equity and Justice Advisory Committee. I am also a PhD candidate at the School of Planning, University of Waterloo, where my research is an investigation of the architecture’s contribution to social good.

Starting as the sustainability researcher in 2007, I was the Sustainable Research Leader for HCMA Architecture + Design from 2010 to 2014. I have also taught design, building systems interface and sustainability at Dalhousie University (2003- 2006) and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (2014) and urban design at the University of Waterloo (2022).

I have been teaching Environmental Design (ED) Thesis at OCAD since 2019.
