Welcome Day - Fall 2025 Orientation
All new students are invited to Welcome Day, where we will kick off the academic year. Meet your peers, meet our staff, learn about our services and supports, and connect with the wider neighbourhood and community.
8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Check in at the Welcome Tent to get your O-Kit, team button and lunch wristband and join your team
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Welcome remarks, meet your peers and join in the fun!
- Meet your Team Captains, get your team pin, and meet other students from your program and faculty!
- Collect your free O-Kit
- Welcome Remarks with greetings from Indigenous Elder Liz Osawamick, President & Vice-Chancellor Ana Serrano, Vice-Provost, Students & International, Deanne Fisher and your Student Union
- Check out our Student Services Expo where you can meet our staff and learn about our many supports and resources
- Participate in creative activities, insider panel discussions, mindfulness activities, and chances to win prizes!
12:30 to 4 p.m.
OCAD U's annual Community Fair featuring:
- The Above Ground Art Supplies Art Materials Fair
- Student clubs and campus organizations,
- Special guest hosts from OCAD U LiVE
- Enjoy free lunch, samples, give-aways, and so much more!

Quiet Space: Need to get away from the noise and action of Welcome Day! for a little break, meditation, or quiet contemplation? The Student Lounge (MCA 274, Level 2, 100 McCaul St.) has been designated as Quiet Space during orientation. Another option is our Multi-faith Room (MCA 657, Level 6, 100 McCaul St.).
