SiteLines is a partnership between the Faculty of Art and Office of Research Studies at OCAD University and the Canada Council for the Arts, promoting and supporting the creative work of BIPOC artists and writers. The two-year pilot partnership supports the SiteLines series as well as a BIPOC mentorship program and an Indigenous Cultural Leadership initiative. SiteLines features a reading series held at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, as well as performances, workshops, master classes, and events that showcase BIPOC creatives. While the project is based at OCAD U, the focus is on communities outside the university and outside of Toronto as well. To that end, we have events planned from coast to coast, from Victoria to Corner Brook, and are working with affiliates in multiple centres.
For the SiteLines reading series, on March 20 we are hosting Suzanne Stewart and Stedman Pardy who will be reading from their work at Buddies starting at 7 pm. Future events in April and May will feature writers Arielle Twist, Ian Iqbal Rashid, and Julianne Okot Bitek.
‘Shared Terrain’ is a group exhibition that fosters cultural exchange between the Nordic Region and Canada. This exhibition is structured around exchange and conversation between 10 creatives from distant locations who are collaborating with each other for the first time.
This online event will feature OCAD U BIPOC faculty members delivering pre-recorded, fast-paced presentations about their work and research, followed by a live Q & A. Presented by Onsite Gallery in partnership with the OCAD U Office of Research & Innovation.

Five (5) emerging artists from OCAD U, working in a variety of mediums, will be commissioned to provide works of art to commemorate the listing of a corporate client or the launch of a new fund on the NEO stock exchange.
