Temple Marucci-Campbell’s program explores the nuances of a legacy in the wake of trauma and how a ruptured history ignites alternative methods of remembering. Remembering through the interconnectivity of language and bodies while also acknowledging the disparity, breathes new life into existing legacies. Marucci-Campbell considers the question of legacies as it pertains to Black diasporic people: How can ruptured legacies survive within ourselves? How can they be nurtured?

About the curator
Temple Marucci-Campbell is a student at OCAD U studying Criticism and Curatorial practices. Her research practice focuses on the intersection of Art and food, where food is a transmitter of sensory knowledge. Marucci-Campbell uses her research practice to connect with her ancestral history and explore alternative ways of remembering.

From January through March 2022, Vtape and OCAD U's Centre for the Study of Black Canadian Diaspora, led by Dr. Andrea Fatona, Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Canadian Black Diasporic Cultural Production, have partnered to present two video programs.
Working with two talented emerging curators from OCAD U, Temple Marucci-Campbell and Fabiyino Germain-Bajowa, these programs draw from the holdings of both Vtape and the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre. Both curators have found titles that are historically significant as well as super contemporary to reveal the aspirations and the strength of Black Canadian media artists.
One title from each program is presented each Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will continue to be available for the following week until the next title rolls out.
