Upcoming Work in McCaul St. laneway south of the AGO
To determine where the new construction portion of the Creative City Campus Project can be situated, existing service pipes must be mapped and located and soil conditions verified in the area of the north laneway of 100 McCaul St. This will determine where the structure for the new-build component of the Creative City Campus can be situated.
This test work will take place on November 19, 20 and potentially 21, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two trucks will be on site for the duration of the work, clearing the asphalt and soil away from various locations and then backfilling the holes with a concrete mix. The motors will need to be running throughout this process, so ongoing loud noise is expected.
No service disruptions are expected inside the 100 McCaul St. building with the exception that the blue stair will be temporarily closed for parts of the work. Also the bike racks will be temporarily moved to the south side of 100 McCaul St.
Eastern Construction will be on site to manage traffic and the overall work.
This test work is a time-sensitive and critical step for the project to advance.
