A range of on-campus services and facilities return to in-person operations

As part of the gradual safe return to in-person learning, OCAD University is offering a range of on-campus services and facilities, which will return to in-person operations. However, in many cases, virtual and in-person options will be available to continue offering choices and flexibility for students.

 
CAMPUS HOURS OF OPERATION

As of Saturday, February 12, 2022, the University returned to its regular hours of operation for all campus buildings. 

For weekend studio access students should check details online for individual studio schedules.
 

ACCESS TO THE BUILDINGS

Students, faculty and staff can only access the buildings when they are fully vaccinated (or have an exemption). Once OCAD U has received your proof of vaccination or you have been exempted, your OCAD U ID card will be activated, then to access the buildings, you just swipe your ID card.

ID CARDS

As of Friday, February 4, 2022, students can pick up their ID cards:

51 McCaul St. | In person
Mondays: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Fridays: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • For students and employees who are new to OCAD U, you must upload your photo using the online submission form. 
  • Once you’ve uploaded your photo, please wait at least four business days to pick up your ID card at 51 McCaul St. on the days and times listed above.

  • In person printing sessions are available via our booking system.
  • Walk-ins are welcome but are limited due to occupancy limits and booked printing sessions. 
  • Online ordering is also available. Pick-up only available during operating hours.

  • Lockers are available for rental on campus from February 4, 2022 to May 3, 2022.
  • Valid OCAD U student ID is required. Photocopies or pictures will not be accepted.

EXTENDED ACCESS TO STUDIOS FOR GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE THESIS STUDENTS

Beginning on February 12, 2022, graduate and thesis students will be able to work in their designated studios for extended hours (until midnight on weekdays and on Sundays).
