ocadu default

It is with tremendous sadness that we let you know that Christine Crosbie passed away on the weekend, following a short battle with cancer. Christine has been a valued colleague, friend and key member of the OCAD University community since she joined the Marketing & Communications team in 2013. This is a devastating loss. Our hearts go out to her family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The community will be kept informed regarding any future details as to how to we honour Christine's memory and pay our respects to her family.

Meanwhile, OCAD U recognizes that many of you will be extremely affected by this loss. Employees are encouraged to seek grief counselling through the university's Employee Assistance Program. Details may be found at https://www.ocadu.ca/services/human-resources/employee-benefits-pension/employee-well-being.htm. Shazia Hussain, Wellness & Equity Advisor in Human Resources, is also available to provide any assistance to employees at shussain@ocadu.ca. Students may seek support through the Health & Wellness Centre.

You are invited to celebrate Christine’s life at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres. The visitation is being held Thursday May 23rd from 6-9 pm and the funeral service will be held on Saturday May 25th starting at 2pm.

Members of the community may wish to contribute to a crowdfunding campaign for a memorial fund in honour of Christine.
