OCAD U is hosting a flu clinic for students, faculty and staff on Friday, November 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with support from Rexall and Studentcare.

The flu clinic will take place at 100 McCaul Street in Room 284. Students are encouraged to pre-book their appointment online and bring their OHIP or UHIP card to the appointment.

Staff and faculty can receive a flu shot without an appointment and must bring their OHIP card. Students are also welcome to walk in. Walk in appointments are dependent on availability.

OCAD U encourages students, faculty and staff to get their flu shot. Flu symptoms are more serious than cold symptoms, according to experts at Rexall. Headaches, chills and dry cough can rapidly be joined by body aches and fever. While the fever may decline on the second or third day of the illness, full recovery may take up to six weeks.

Getting the flu shot does not protect you from COVID-19, nor does getting the COVID-19 vaccine protect you from the flu. COVID-19 vaccines can be booked off-campus through Rexall’s website.
