FAS has published its third issue of The Arts and Science Review, Fish Bones, Grassy Flesh, featuring 12 unique pieces of student writing from FAS courses, as nominated by FAS faculty.

Fish Bones, Grassy Flesh contains works by Sarina Antonacci, Hannah Arkorful, Angelina Campigotto, Eric Charlton, Nik Clydesdale, Carissa Faria, Frances Luk, Cecily Ou, McKenna Pipher, Mason Smart, Patrick Stochmal and Ella Taylor.

The 2021-2022 Review highlights a breadth of work from courses such as Ethnographies in a Global World, Literature and Social Change, Latin American Art and Introduction to Game Studies.

“The collection is diverse in style and approach, reflecting the rich interdisciplinarity, creativity, criticality, and deep thinking of FAS students,” says Dr. Maria-Belén Ordóñez, Editorial Committee member and Assistant Professor.

Alongside Dr. Ordóñez, the Committee includes Instructor Andrew Bailey, Assistant Professor Dr. Ross Bullen, Lecturer Ian Keteku and Assistant Professor Dr. Michelle Miller.

The Arts and Science Review showcases and celebrates student writing in courses offered by the Faculty of Arts and Science. It is a yearly, faculty-reviewed digital journal that launched in 2020.
