Campus access opportunities to resume: Service Depot, Library Curbside, Locker & Studio Retrievals

OCAD University will resume several campus access opportunities starting June 14, 2021. 

Service Depot: Mondays and Thursdays

When: Mondays and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to noon, starting June 14
Where: Auditorium, 100 McCaul St. (enter through the front entrance of 100 McCaul St. and as part of our safety protocols, you’ll exit through a different door).
What: 

  • IT Services, Help Desk & AV Support
    Equipment loans/returns for faculty, graduate students, and students enrolled in applicable summer courses
    Laptop loans/returns for faculty; laptop repairs 
    Software pick-up by students
     
  • Studio Services, Rapid Prototyping Centre
    INTM equipment loans/returns; PHOT and design photography equipment loans/returns; and Rapid Prototyping Centre services for graduate students, and students enrolled in applicable summer courses
    Equipment loans/returns in support of curriculum development for faculty
     
  • Copy & Print Services
    Printing, binding and finishing services for students, faculty and staff 

To access these services, follow these steps:

Step 1: Book a remote consultation / submit print jobs
For IT Services, Help Desk & AV Support and Studio Services, Rapid Prototyping Centre Please book a remote consultation through the website (no consultation is required on software pick-up). For Copy & Print Services, students can submit their print job via PaperCut/Job Ticketing. Staff and faculty can submit their print jobs to copyprint@ocadu.ca.

Step 2: Book your campus visit
Use the Teams Booking calendar to book your visit to campus for accessing the desks in the Service Depot, on Mondays and Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. For services that require a consultation, your campus visit will be booked during this consultation.

Step 3: Watch for your confirmation notice
You will receive a confirmation by email with your appointment date and time.
Before coming to campus, please familiarize yourself with OCAD U’s Safety Protocols and take the COVID-19 Safety Training prior to arrival on campus. This training takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Library curbside pick-up and book return drop-off: Tuesdays

When: Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Learning Zone, 113 McCaul St. (enter through St. Patrick St.)
What: Books and periodicals from the Dorothy H. Hoover Library, and/or InterLibrary Loans, are available to all students, faculty and staff; returns using drop-off service (no booking required)

Lockers & Studio Clean Out: 
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until June 30

When: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., until June 30
Where: 100, 113 and 115 McCaul St., and 205 Richmond St. W.
What: Retrieval of belongings in rental lockers or studio spaces
How to book: Book your access date and time using the Access Request Form

Please note:

  • If you have Library books that need to be returned, you may drop them off at the 100 McCaul St. security desk, or to the Library Curbside drop-off on Tuesdays (see above).
  • All items not retrieved by June 30 will be donated or disposed of. 
  • If you are unable to pick-up your materials in person by June 30, you may request your items be retrieved and kept for pick-up by contacting gradualopening@ocadu.ca. All items held for pick-up must be retrieved no later than Friday, September 17 after which they will be donated or disposed of.

Preparing to come to campus

  • Familiarize yourself with OCAD U’s Safety Protocols and take the COVID-19 Safety Training prior to arrival on campus. This training takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  • You are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times (note: individuals who are exempt from wearing a mask or face covering include people who are reasonably accommodated, in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code). 
  • You will be asked the COVID-19 screening questions upon arrival, prior to entry.
  • Hand sanitizer is available upon arrival.

Every access opportunity provided is subject to ongoing directives from Toronto Public Health and/or the Government of Ontario regarding COVID-19.
