During this workshop led by Sal Lovink McKinnell, we’ll be looking at the prevalence of DIY in queer culture and working together to create some personalized patches and fabric pins. We’ll work on some simple sewing skills and have some sweet craft time together.
All materials will be provided, however, if you have fabric or embellishments you would like to bring yourself, feel free! Any and all skill levels are welcome.
Sal Lovink McKinnell (They/She) is a textile maker primarily working in weaving. They are in the IAMD program, focusing on tactile touch immersive environments and investigating our relationship to the sense of touch. Sal has worked in the workshop and education sphere for a number of years and is excited to work with all of you.
