Join OCAD U Illustration student Anita Fowl, on Friday March 5th from 1-3pm EST, for an afternoon of sewing! Through demos and guided practice, Anita will share techniques for creating a doll without a pattern, using any materials you have on hand. Classic stitch, blanket stitch, options for stuffing, and any ideas for accessorizing your character will all be covered. Check out Anita's work at https://www.instagram.com/anitafowl/.

Materials needed: 

  • Felt, old clothing, or any fabric
  • A sewing needle and thread
  • A marker that shows up on fabric
  • Stuffing from pillow or aluminum foil 
  • Scissors 
  • Buttons (optional)
