The OCADU RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is working with creative agency Sid Lee’s design team to provide better representation of designers and artists of colour within the design community. Sid Lee's designers of colour are sharing how they have navigated their individual careers through the agency space and beyond. Cultural identity plays a vital role in the development of a designer. By vocalizing shared experiences and providing a platform for conversation about design and diversity, Sid Lee is hoping BIPOC talent will find the confidence to enter the design industry either as designers themselves, collaborators, or any opportunity that comes their way.

As an experienced and passionate designer, Priya Mistry strives to tell visual narratives that include all voices and bridge the gaps between humankind by using design. Currently Designer at Sid Lee, Priya has designed for a diverse range of brands such as Mad Love for Canada Women’s Basketball, Tentree Rebrand 2020 and most recently the rebrand of indigenous-owned makeup brand, Cheekbone Beauty. Her work is recognized in Marketing Mag, Applied Arts, RGD and Under Consideration.
