How to start a creative business

Join OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers and the International Students Support Office for a workshop and working session on starting your own business. In the workshop portion, we will cover basic information around how to start your own business in Canada. We’ll go over:

  • Legal business structures
  • Tools to help you plan your business
  • Bookkeeping and taxes

 

Lunch will be an informal working session where you can mingle with peers and work on your business idea.

 

Format of the event:

  • 11 – 12: Workshop
  • 12 – 12:30: Q&A
  • 12:30 – 2 PM: Lunch and working session
