Artists in Community Education Program

Thinking about the next steps in your career? Find out about Queen’s Artists in Community Education Program! Our 16 month program provides you with OCT certification so you are ready to jump in to your career – whether that is in a traditional school classroom or inside an arts organization.

Artist in Community Education (ACE) is designed for practicing artists in visual art, music, drama, dance, film, creative writing, mixed media, and all other art forms. It qualifies graduates for Ontario College of Teachers certification.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

ACE graduates pursue a wide range of career paths. Some teach in traditional classrooms or community colleges, while others work in outreach for arts organizations, museums and galleries, or assist with municipality engagement, television programming, or coaching while continuing a professional arts practice. The ACE program provides a solid foundation for careers both inside and outside of traditional education settings.
