Feminist Art Collective of Toronto is launching the 2020 conference and festival. Our upcoming fifth art conference is taking place on March 7, 2020 at OCAD Univeristy, with an accompanying exhibition running from March 2 to 14. We had 187 applications this year - record breaking!
The curatorial committee selected 70 artists from various provinces / countries, many of whom will be coming for the event. We're partnering with Native Women in the Arts (NWIA) to present the conference’s keynote performance and Q&A with artist Jeneen Frei Njootli, co-creator of the ReMatriate Collective, a 2018 Sobey Art Award finalist and an avid examiner of the politics of First Nations art.
We have a number of artist and community panels taking place at the conference that your students and colleagues may be interested in attending. Registration is live and we hope to have many OCADU students, professors and alumni attend.
