COMPASS is an interactive two-day program for new first-year students. Through short presentations, online discussions, hands-on activities, and community-building, we aim to help you transition to your first year at OCAD U. Sessions cover topics such as:
- what to expect in your first year
- strategies for success
- creative time management
- communication and participation
- writing/making
- and more!
Date(s): all activities will take place between 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Monday, August 31, 2020 and 4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 (duration: two days).
Students who register in COMPASS will be organized into online groups with other students from their Faculty. Group activities will be facilitated by staff from the Writing & Learning Centre as well as upper-year OCAD U student Peer Mentors.
